Sensidyne’s Advancements in Air Flow Calibration and Factory Service Programs
Sensidyne® is launching a new product called the Gilian® Go-Cal™ Pro air flow calibrator. What are the superior performance benefits for users of this new device?
Portability with 1% accuracy is key for most end users – it’s 1% accurate* across the entire range of flow rates: Low 5-600cc/min, Standard 500-5000cc/min, High 3-30LPM. Beyond that, the Go-Cal Pro also ensures data integrity through our unique user interface. Creation of a Flow Verification Report shows that the pre-event flow rate and the post-event flow rate were within the desired 5% deviation. This also provides a digital record that makes your air sampling event more defensible if ever called into question.

What features in the new Go-Cal Pro make it easier for users to operate?
Features of the Go-Cal Pro include an easy-to-read 7” LCD color touchscreen display; multi-screen user interface with drop-down menus and screen keyboard input capabilities; corrections for standard temperature and pressure; statistical analysis via percent deviation of air flow; ability to save and name individual calibration records; and the ability to preview and export calibration records in Bitmap, PDF and CSV formats. You can also specify the duration of samples to be taken (5 to 5000 seconds) for averaging.
How can operators customize their calibration reports and measurements using the Go-Cal Pro?
End users may customize their settings for their local standards. This includes selecting one of the nine languages programmed on the device, the period of time they would like averaged, their preferred units of measurement for pressure and temperature, and thresholds for flow deviation within their sample.
Is this air flow calibrator also known as an “electronic flow meter,” or is there a difference?
Yes, Electronic Flow Meter is a broad term for an air flow calibrator that encompasses a number of digital technologies. These can include electronic; Wet Bubble Meters, Dry Piston Meters, Mass Flow Meters and Hotwire Anemometers.
Tell us a bit about the new Factory Service Programs launching at the same time as the Go-Cal Pro.
The GilCARE™ Pump Maintenance and Extended Warranty Plan provides peace of mind knowing your equipment is functioning at optimal levels, maximizing uptime and improving productivity for your business. The plan includes annual preventative maintenance by our trained factory service technicians, software updates, and an extended warranty. All maintenance and repairs are performed using in-factory service and certified parts.
How can customers purchase the new Factory Service Programs?
The new service programs are available for limited products which include the Gilibrator-2 Kits, Go-Cal Pro kits, and GilAir Plus air sampling pump kits. The pre-paid programs are available for three or five year intervals and must be purchased at the time of new equipment purchases.
Going back a little, let’s talk about one of the company’s successful flagship products: the GilAir Plus Personal Air Sampling Pump. What are the benefits and uses of this pump?
The GilAir Plus has all the features an IH professional could need and want. It offers a wide dynamic flow rage that covers both low flow and high flow sampling needs in a single pump (from 1 to 5100 cc/min). The GilAir Plus also offers air sampling in constant pressure, which allows for multiple samples to be collected simultaneously. Another key benefit is the real-time data and data logging that the pump performs, so industrial hygienists can evaluate the sampling events for any faults that may have occurred, loading of the media, and changes to ambient environmental conditions throughout the day. For all these reasons, we believe the GilAir Plus is the industry’s most versatile pump.
