Sensidyne, LP Launches the SensAlert IR for Reliable Fixed Gas Detection in Harsh Environments
Sensidyne®, a trusted leader in industrial health and safety solutions, has announced the launch of the SensAlert® IR, a cutting-edge infrared point gas detector designed for high-priority applications. Built to excel in harsh environments, the SensAlert IR features advanced dual-wavelength, Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) technology that ensures precise and reliable gas detection – even in the most challenging conditions.
The SensAlert IR sensor is constructed from durable, explosion-proof adonized aluminum or 316 stainless-steel, providing unmatched resilience in demanding industrial settings such as oil refining, gas processing, and chemical plants. Designed for anaerobic atmospheres and consistent hydrocarbon presence, it is immune to sensor poisoning and etching, ensuring reliability over extended periods. This innovative detector offers significant operational advantages, including maintenance-free operation and no need for routine span calibrations.
The SensAlert IR supports both single and dual sensor configurations, local and remote installation, with sensor placement up to 250 feet from the transmitter, offering flexibility for various industrial setups. It also integrates seamlessly with both new and existing systems through a 3-wire, 4-20 mA linear output, making it a versatile solution for modern industrial environments up to Class 1, Div-1 applications.
Steve Bornoff, Sensidyne’s Business Unit Manager, highlights the significance of this addition to the company’s portfolio: “The SensAlert IR is an outstanding enhancement to our Fixed Gas Detection lineup. Its durability, reliability, and advanced technology provide unmatched protection in high-risk environments, further reinforcing Sensidyne’s commitment to safety and innovation in the industry.”
The SensAlert IR, with a response time as quick as 5 seconds and self-compensating optics, delivers efficient and dependable performance that industrial facilities can rely on.
