YellowBird Celebrates Partnership with AIHA To Build and Maintain Healthier Work Environments

YellowBird, a nationwide gig economy marketplace matching vetted risk and environmental, health and safety (EHS) professionals with businesses on-demand, is proud to announce its newest partnership with the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), an organization aimed at empowering and supporting Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) professionals.

“YellowBird shares common goals with AIHA to promote health and hygiene in high-risk industries that rely on qualified professionals to keep workers safe,” said Michael Zalle, CEO and Founder of YellowBird. “By continuing to add amazing AIHA members to our list of vetted professionals, we strengthen our commitment to better serve certified safety professionals, the companies who need them, and all who value safety.”

Expertise is critical for high consequence projects. Most AIHA members have earned their Certified Industrial Hygienist® (CIH®) designation which is issued by the Board for Global EHS Credentialing. All professionals on YellowBird’s platform go through an extensive five-step vetting process, which includes background and accreditation checks. The network integration will generate a faster onboarding process.

“A part-time ‘gig’ search tool such as YellowBird will be beneficial to all parties involved: for AIHA members to find consulting jobs more efficiently and for employers to facilitate their ability to find qualified professionals for short-term assignments or projects,” says AIHA CEO, Lawrence D. Sloan, FASAE, CAE.

YellowBird’s suite of services includes industrial hygiene, OSHA incident investigations and mock audits, on-site safety manager, program and policy development, custom projects, and training. During the pandemic, YellowBird’s environmental health and safety (EHS) professionals also helped small businesses, schools, and religious organizations develop safety protocols and training with a COVID-19 return-to-work program.

AIHA’s mission – empowering and advancing those who apply scientific knowledge to protect all workers and their communities from occupational and environmental hazards — complements YellowBird’s expertise in recruiting professionals who help while provide safer work experiences in industrial manufacturing.
