Cut-related hand injuries are an omnipresent issue in most industrial workplaces. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), over 40% of hand injuries reported in NA in 2017 were caused by cuts and lacerations.

In Europe, 15.6% of hand-related accidents are due to contact with sharp/abrasive objects, Eurostat reported.
