Any business leader will tell you the health and safety of your employees is invaluable. From a moral, legal and financial standpoint, it has to be taken seriously and made a priority. In industrial applications particularly, there is no room for technological error. When searching for the right equipment and technology to meet your company’s needs, you need an industry leader you can trust to provide a professional level of service and safety.

Volatile Organic Compounds, or VOCs, pose a threat to many workers in industrial settings and, if workers are exposed, can lead to serious health consequences. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are looking for durable, reliable and accurate sensor technology that’s easy to integrate into their handheld, mobile or fixed VOC-monitoring devices.

With the need to adhere to strict safety certifications, new sensor technology can remove any guesswork and help assure business leaders that their employees are protected in high-risk environments where VOCs might be present.

Employees working in confined spaces or environments with potential VOC exposure have highly specialized roles that take a great deal of concentration, and they need confidence that their sensor technology meets compliance standards. New, premium sensors provide 10 times the improvement in repeatability from sensor to sensor, making it easier for OEMs to design the sensor into their instrument. A true plug-and-play option that leads to better accuracy is a benefit to all parties involved.

Stable responses over varying humidity and uniform temperature responses provide versatility in highly flexible environments and conditions—so workers can be confident the reading is correct while they focus on the task at hand, no matter the conditions. Whether there’s water vapor or liquid present, premium sensors provide repeatable and reliable information and alleviate any uncertainty.

New sensor technology also provides the most accurate VOC readings on the market, and it is easy to implement in instrumentation designs. Providing peace of mind, the onboard lamp fault detection will know if and when the sensor has a problem.

As added benefits, temperature compensation, a more repeatable sensor-to-sensor response and better instrument accuracy make it easy for end-users, because there is no complicated calibration required. With so many safety and compliance factors industrial business owners need to keep up with, sensor technology should not be one of them. New units are powered by a battery that also operates much longer than previous models, due to a combination of lower operating voltage and less power usage.

Whether you manage a small crew or run a multi-million-dollar enterprise, safety matters.
